KPN Green Gets a Project at Hongsa Power Plant, Largest Coal-Fired Power Plant in Laos PDR

“Hongsa Power Plant is a Thai-owned coal-fired power plant employing resources and areas of Laos PDR, located in Muang Hongsa and Muang Ngeune districts, Xayaboury province, just 23 kilometers from Nan province at the border of Thailand. It generates electricity up to 1,878 MW and 1,437 MW of which is exported to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), while only 100 MW is used in Laos and the remainder in the power plant location.”

KPN Green Joins Donating Solar Batteries to a Temple

On March 25, 2017, KPN Green joined making a donation of batteries for solar energy storage to Weluwan Temple,Thong Pha Phum district, Kanchanaburi province, under the supervision of Luang Pu Sakorn Thammawuto. As this temple has no electricity supplied from the electricity authority, it is therefore necessary to use renewable energy from the sun light by having solar batteries as an electrical energy storage for use within the temple. At present, these batteries have deteriorated according to the usage.

“Weluwan Temple was built because Luang Pu Sakorn had had a vision that Luang Pu Fan took some novices and him to build monastic cells and pavilions. After having the vision, he decided to bring faithful and devoting folks together to start building a temple as Luang Pu Fan told him to in the vision. And Luang Pu Sakorn has been staying at this temple since 1979. The prominent point of Weluwan Temple is it is not materialistically distinctive; therefore, the atmosphere in the temple is simple, pleasant and peaceful. It is a very interesting temple.”

Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for WPGE Waste to Energy Power Plant in Phetchaburi, Ready for the Construction Soon

On January 31, 2017, WPGE waste power plant construction project, Phetchaburi province, one of KPN Green’s projects, had a groundbreaking ceremony for the waste to energy power plant project. Mr. Chavarat Charnvirakul, former Minister of Interior, presided over the ceremony, and Phra Maha Raja Guru Bidhi Sri Visudhigun Viboonvej Borommahong Brahamhong, the Head Brahmin, performed the ceremony. The honorable guests also included Pol.Lt.Col.,M.L. Kitibodee Prawit, Phetchaburi Vice Governor, Mr. Pradit Chamchantra, Phetchaburi Provincial Industrial Officer, Mr. Sanguan Jittpum, Mayor of Tha Laeng Sub-district Municipality, as well as the management team of WPGE Phetchaburi Co., Ltd. (WPP) and many more honorable guests.

For the WPGE waste to energy power project, Phetchaburi, Hitachi Zosen Corporation, KPN Green Energy Solution Co., Ltd. and Italian-Thai Development PLC (ITD) were hired to construct and install machinery scheduled to distribute the electricity to the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) by 2018.”

“On October 19 2016, Dr. Kritsda Ukarapattayakul, Chairman of Executive Committee of KPN Green Energy Solution Co., Ltd., was selected as “the Quality Person of the Year 2016 in Energy and Utilities Business Sector and the plague of honor was presented by His Excellency General Pichit Kullavanich Privy Council. At the event, there was a robot show of representatives of Thailand who attended and built a reputation in a world competition, as well as a presentation of scholarships and certifications to the Quality Youths of the Year 2016. This event was organized by the Foundation of Science and Technology Council of Thailand (FSTT), Ministry of Science and Technology.”

On October 15, 2016, KPN Green by Mr. Nitad Jaisue, Deputy Managing Director, took Mr. Vichai Saengvongkij, Director/ Managing Director of S.Kijchai Green Power Co., Ltd., together with the delegation from 4 sub-district administration organizations in Klaeng district, Rayong province, of over 150 people to visit Phichit Biomass Power Plant which has a capacity of 11 MW to study the construction of biomass power plants for further use in the construction of biomass power plants in Rayong.

Progress on the Construction of Chachoengsao High-Voltage Power Station in June-July 2016

“More than 80% of the architectural works of the Control building have completed. The current works include installing glass, plastering exterior walls, installing ceilings in battery rooms and washrooms, tiling and painting indoor areas, wiring cables to the systems ready for some tests, as well as installing alarms in the control room. Over 80% of the architectural works of the GIS building have been completed.”
The remaining works are fitting glass doors and windows, tiling and fitting handrails. Over 80% of electricity and lighting systems have been installed. GIS system testing has been done. Some architectural works of the SWG building have been completed and those include installing spray foam to back structure, plastering interior walls, pouring epoxy floor paint, back-filling basement, applying fire-protection paint on the roof structure and installing foundation for equipment. There are only lighting systems, system testing, and road works within the project to be done.

Progress on the Construction of Samut Sakhon 1 High-Voltage Power Station in June-July 2016

“The construction of the GIS Control building is in midst of painting exterior structures and installing composite panels. The pump house building construction is in the process of welding the steel roof structure and laying walls. The SWG building had handrails and composite ceilings installed. Some ongoing outdoor works include cable trench installations, road works and drainage systems.”

Progress on the Construction of 9 MW Kamphaengphet Biomass Power Plant Project in June-July 2016

“Overall, more than 90% of the works have been completed which also include civil and structural works of the roofs and fuel conveyor system, floor works on the 3rd floor, and door and window works on the 1st floor.
For incinerator and boiler systems, the installations of nozzles, air ducts, circulating gas pipes, gas pipes, dampers and compensators have been completed.
Fuel and ashes management systems have completely been equipped with an assisting device for fuel conveyor systems.
Steam turbines and generators are in the process of having pipeline, cooling and air compression, fire protection systems installed. Equipment for the fire protection system started to be installed together with CCTV equipment.
In relation to electrical works, low-voltage switch gears and lighting equipment, high-voltage power transmission lines have already been wired to the front of the site.
Measuring equipment as well as PLC and remote control cabinet installation control systems have successfully been in place.”
