KPN Green Joins Donating Solar Batteries to a Temple

On March 25, 2017, KPN Green joined making a donation of batteries for solar energy storage to Weluwan Temple,Thong Pha Phum district, Kanchanaburi province, under the supervision of Luang Pu Sakorn Thammawuto. As this temple has no electricity supplied from the electricity authority, it is therefore necessary to use renewable energy from the sun light by having solar batteries as an electrical energy storage for use within the temple. At present, these batteries have deteriorated according to the usage.

“Weluwan Temple was built because Luang Pu Sakorn had had a vision that Luang Pu Fan took some novices and him to build monastic cells and pavilions. After having the vision, he decided to bring faithful and devoting folks together to start building a temple as Luang Pu Fan told him to in the vision. And Luang Pu Sakorn has been staying at this temple since 1979. The prominent point of Weluwan Temple is it is not materialistically distinctive; therefore, the atmosphere in the temple is simple, pleasant and peaceful. It is a very interesting temple.”
